4 Things to Spend Your Money on Instead of
Sarah Palin's Online 'News' Channel

God bless Sarah Palin. She keeps finding ways to stay relevant after her failed VP run in 2008. She launched her own online channel yesterday. Fans can spend $9.95 a month to watch her give colorful commentary on topics which she knows nothing of. Here are cheaper ways to spend your money on digital content.

Netflix offers monthly plans that begin at $7.99 a month. You can stream thousands of movies and television shows, including critically acclaimed original content like 'Orange is the New Black' and 'House of Cards.'

Yes, Hulu Plus has advertisements, but unlike Netflix, it has new episodes of television shows uploaded to its website the day after it airs. My roommate has the Hulu Plus app on the television, and it's awesome. I love watching 'The Daily Show' in the morning before heading into work. A membership is $7.99 a month.

I really recommend subscribing to the Economist. I used to have the magazine subscription, but now I only use the digital version since I like listening to the articles on my tablet. The digital subscription costs $2.19 a week, or $8.76 a month.

Amazon Prime is popular because of its free two-day shipping that it offers to members. But did you know that a membership to Amazon Prime includes access to thousands of television episodes and movies? You can also listen to music under Prime Music, which gives members access to over a million ad-free songs available for streaming.  A membership  to Amazon Prime costs $8.25 a month.
