Soccer Movies: Part II

Are you excited for the World Cup matches to resume tomorrow? Germany and France will be the first game, and then Columbia will play Brazil in the second match. Until then, here are some more soccer movies for you to check out until the quarter-finals air on Friday.

I'm not going to lie, I have only seen the 2005 movie 'Fever Pitch.' In my defense, I am a Red Sox fan, and watching that movie is like reliving the 2004 post-season glory all over again. However, I do love Colin Firth. It might be time for me to finally catch the original movie that came out in 1997. If you haven't seen it either, it is currently streaming on Netflix.

Back in the day I used to watch anything that came on the Disney Channel, including 'Air Bud: World Pup'. I definitely remember this soccer movie, and it's a solid one. If you need something good to watch with your kids, this title is streaming on Netflix.

Before Tom Hooper shot to stardom with 'The King's Speech,' he directed this soccer movie. Starring Michael Sheen, this sports flick can be purchased on Amazon. Click on the image below to buy the movie.

  1. That's cool, I didn't know that "Fever Pitch" was a remake. I love me some Fallon. His speech about double-standards in pursuing passion is great.
