BAFTA Snubs

The BAFTA nominations came out today. Most of the acting ones were pretty unsurprising. J.K. Simmons got recognized for his work in the movie 'Whiplash.' Emma Stone got a nomination for her performance in 'Birdman.' However, there isn't room for everyone. Here are a couple people who I think were overlooked:

'Interstellar' has been getting a lot of attention for its incredible visual effects and original score since it hit theaters this past November. But I really think that Anne Hathaway's performance in the movie was overlooked. It's too bad that Warner Brothers did not put out much of a campaign to get her acting in the film recognized.

Despite receiving both SAG and Golden Globe nominations for her leading role in the movie 'Cake,' Jennifer Aniston did not get a BAFTA nomination for the independent movie. We'll see if the former sitcom actress will get her first Academy Award nomination for her work in the dramatic movie when that list is announced next week.
