Start Planning Your 'Game of Thrones' Season Finale Party

The time has come to say good-bye to season five of 'Game of Thrones.' It has been an exciting fifth season, and I am sad to see the show go off the air until 2016. To celebrate Sunday's finale, host a 'Game of Thrones' themed party. Below are some food ideas to check out.

turkey legs

Turkey legs are pretty easy to make, but not all supermarkets sell them. My local Trader Joe's does not have turkey legs, but some Ralph's locations do carry them.

Here is a well-reviewed recipe to check out:

potatoes
Potatoes are a really simple side dish to serve at a dinner party. You can have some fun with it and use a 'Game of Thrones' inspired label in front of the dish.

mead
Mead is a tasty drink to serve to your guests. A lot of supermarkets don't carry it, but many liquor stores like BevMo do.

shortbread cookies
Last week I baked shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate. They were easy to make and came out delicious. This is the recipe that I used. I inserted the flags of Westeros into the cookies. Here is a link on how to make them.
