Emmy Snubs
Not everyone can get nominated for an Emmy award, but let's take a moment to look at some of the notable snubs from this year's list.
Who: Amy Landecker
Show: 'Transparent'
If you are looking for a show to binge-watch, 'Transparent' should be on your list. Amy Landecker did not get a Golden Globe nomination for her work on season one of 'Transparent,' but I was hoping she would make the Emmy list. It didn't happen, but maybe she will get recognized after the second season airs.
Who: Ellie Kemper
Show: 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'
This new program received five Emmy nominations this morning, including Outstanding Comedy Series. So it was a little surprising that the show's lead, Ellie Kemper, was snubbed. Maybe she will get recognized by the Golden Globes for her work on season one of the series.
Who: John McMartin
Show: 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'
Veteran actor John McMartin guest starred on the third episode of 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.' He was hysterical as the elderly Mr. Belden. I thought that he was going to get nominated this morning in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series category. If you haven't checked out his performance yet, his episode is currently streaming on Netflix.
