These Actresses Need to Host 'SNL'

Season 41 of 'Saturday Night Live' premieres tonight on NBC. Miley Cyrus will host the first episode, and Amy Shumer will host on October 10th. There are lots of leading ladies in Hollywood who have never taken on hosting duties. Let's take a look at some actresses who should take on the job this season.

Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett is best known for her dramatic roles. She won an Oscar for 'The Aviator' and an Oscar for 'Blue Jasmine.' It would be cool to see her funny side on 'Saturday Night Live.' The timing would be great for her. She has two movies coming out this fall, 'Carol' and 'Truth.'

Rooney Mara

Rooney Mara is also an accomplished dramatic actress. She received an Oscar nomination for her role as Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher's 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.' It would be awesome to see her goofy side on 'SNL.' The timing would also be great for her because she too is starring in the upcoming movie 'Carol.'

Lupita Nyong'o

Lupita Nyong'o showed off her acting chops in the dramatic film '12 Years a Slave.' I bet the girl has a funny side though. Wouldn't she make a great host for 'SNL'? It would be a great gig to have if she times it with her 'Star Wars: Episode VII' promotion duties.
