The Downside to Leo Finally Winning an Oscar

It's looking pretty likely that Leonardo DiCaprio will get his first Academy Award tonight for his role in 'The Revenant.' Throughout the years, the internet has poked fun at the actor for his lack of an Oscar statuette. I'm going to miss seeing all the gifs and memes making fun of him. I compiled a few of my favorite:

Still Need a Dessert Idea For Your Oscar Party?

The Academy Awards are tomorrow night. Right now I am getting my desserts ready for my bash. I decided to make 'Star Wars' themed cookies in honor of 'The Force Awakens.' If you're interested in making this dessert, here is the link to the delicious sugar cookie recipe I found online. I would recommend against using a pre-made sugar cookie package from the supermarket because I find that those types of cookie doughs are very sticky and hard to make shapes with. I don't own a storm trooper cookie cutout, so I printed this from the internet and outlined it with a toothpick. You can use a Wilton black gel to decorate the cookie, or use black food coloring like I did. Here is the icing recipe I used tonight. Who Else Should be a GPS Navigation Voice?

I was so giddy this afternoon when I stumbled upon this article announcing that actor Morgan Freeman has lent his voice to Waze. It got me thinking about which other memorable voices would be perfect for Google's navigation app.

1. James Earl Jones

A few years ago, Garmin released a line of 'Star Wars' voices for their GPS devices. One of the options was Yoda, and the other was Darth Vader. However, Vader's voice was portrayed by a James Earl Jones impersonator. Wouldn't it be so cool if the legendary actor lent his voice to Waze?

2. Shohreh Aghdashloo

My boyfriend just finished watching season one of the Syfy show 'The Expanse.' I couldn't help but notice the very distinctive voice of one of the actresses, Shohreh Aghdashloo. Although you cannot listen to her give you navigational directions, he has narrated several books.

3. Helen Mirren

Oscar winner Helen Mirren has done voice acting for animated films like 'Monsters University' and 'Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole.' Her voice is so unique that even John Oliver asked her to do some voice work for a segment on his show last year. I would love to hear her voice while driving!
